Procrastination as Self Defence

Procrastination is nearly seen as the worst sin ever, but I think this is an error.

I think procrastination is a self defense against a materialistic world that want you to use your time with many for you meaningless things.

Work today is for most people paid slavery where they use a large part of the day working with things that don’t interest them, with no influence or creativity, simply mindless assembly line work.

It is said we should put our fate in God’s hand, this is actually what procrastination is about.

I have been a master procrastinator all of my life. In childhood I didn’t do much family work, and was allowed not to, my familys world was theirs, and my world mine, and I was extremely good at finding interesting things to do myself.

The same in school, I was extremely bad at preparing schoolwork, everything that didn’t interest me I shunned. What interested me I learned, but in my tempo, I didn’t follow the curriculum. The school wasn’t as lenient as my parents though.

I didn’t know what I wanted to make a living by, so I stayed in school as long as possible. In high school I learned to program an Olivetti table computer, and now I knew what I should, computer science! If I had gone in panic I may have ended up with something I would have hated.

The jobs I got came my way, I didn’t apply for them. I have applied for one job, but it wasn’t what I wanted, so I said no when talking with them. I didn’t get in panic if I was out of job, I just waited, there always came a job that nearly was spot on what I dreamed about. My dreams I see as my higher I’s preparing me to say yes when the possibility came.

Every place I have worked have been preordained as I had shared karma with the people working there, it was not some random happening.

I think most stress and depression comes when we don’t follow our common sense, where I think procrastination belongs, when we do things we shouldn’t do, where we do what others think we should, follow other’s plans, without we ourself have any real influence.

I think that the older the souls the more they try not to make trivial and meaningless jobs and studies.

There will of course be things we have to do, the solution is to make it interesting, become interested. If I am inspired I can make anything, if not, nothing.

This is a fine description of procrastination, but without my musings above.

The Holy Grail

The Holy Grail is a central symbol known up through time under different names.

grail-enThe Holy Grail

The grail is symbolized with the triangle pointing down, it’s the microcosm we develop in. Its the lower three hierarchies known as angels, archangels and archai in the Christian terminology.

holygrail15

Here more traditions are combined into one drawing. The ego is the old center of the body from when we were animals, here symbolized with a caterpillar. The day the ego accepts the new center, the ‘I’ of the soul, as a co-worker and not an enemy, the caterpillar dies and resurrects into a butterfly.

In the drawing we have the 4 lower bodies of man. Here the
ages the bodies typically are developed are written for each period. Each period corresponds to a chakra. After 28 we begin developing the higher bodies, the higher chakras.

The grail goes long back, the following picture is an example from a vast Cetho Temple complex  that is located on the western slopes of Lawu Mountain, precisely in Gumeng Village, Jenawi District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province.

The Lingga Yoni have strong similarities with the Ankh, the Tree of Life and the Grail, all describing the same reality.

The Lingga Yoni shown in the upper pictures look very much like a chalice when seen from the bottom, but seen from the side the symbolism behind the chalice is more clear. The chalice top is the uterus from where the new universe will grow, fructified by the old spiritual world symbolized by the stalk of the chalice.

IMG_4353

Kali is also connected to the lower triangle, the Grail is symbol for the feminine.

In the lower and middle right pictures the Lingga Yoni looks like a chalice with the Sun as the hostie.

Artemis gives prana to all living beings in the physical world, ie that have an etheric body. The Grail is the Life Force behind the created.

From Anna May Triptychon where Joseph of Arimathea fils the Grail
with the blood coming from Jesus.

Artemis symbolizes the Mother, the creator of mankind, but the mother is hidden in most religions, as it was the masculine power that was needed to get man down into the physical. In this figure Apollo, the sun god, is shown hiding the moon god Artemis, mother nature, but she is the main power behind of our development.

Here a number of forms we know the Grail, including the human soul, up left:

grail-collage

The Crown Chakra is also the chalice of the etheric world in which we as physical being lie, as an inverted plant.

Life is easy, why do we make it so Hard? On Education.

This is maybe the most important video in our time, he is pinpointing the main problem of materialism in a very practical and usable way.

In many ways the life before the seventies was in this way, although the state had made life somewhat complicated, but most people still managed their own time, and the children wasn’t put into institutions and few worked in public administration, they were their own masters or had much influence on their work. My father used much time building on the house, and generally lived a very little organized life with lots of freedom.

About Jon Jandai: Jon is a farmer from northeastern Thailand. He founded the Pun Pun Center for Self-reliance, an organic farm outside Chiang Mai, with his wife Peggy Reents in 2003.

Pun Pun doubles as a center for sustainable living and seed production, aiming to bring indigenous and rare seeds back into use. It regularly hosts training on simple techniques to live more sustainably.

Outside of Pun Pun, Jon is a leader in bringing the natural building movement to Thailand, appearing as a spokesperson on dozens of publications and TV programs for the past 10 years. He continually strives to find easier ways for people to fulfill their basic needs. For more information visit http://www.punpunthailand.org

Pun Pun (meaning ‘thousand varieties’) is an organic farm, seed-saving operation, and sustainable living and learning centre based about 50km North of Chiang Mai, Thailand in Mae Taeng district.

Peggy and Jo – the two founders of Pun Pun.

I just saw this quote by Rudolf Steiner, and I had to read it more than once to understand it fully.

File 26-02-2017, 17.42.48.jpeg

But it is sensible, only what we do out of love is fully our doing, if we don’t do it out of love, something else have ‘forced’ us to do it, desires, opinions, public opinions, regulations, laws, and so forth.

So to be truly free is to live in love, but it’s of course not some hallelujah kind of love or a sentimental one, it’s a genuine state of mind, being in peace in the soul.

But it’s impossible to live that way in a materialistic society, there is not much room for compassion and care in a society build on things and consumption.

We need a society build on Jon’s experience, a decentralized society, with local sustainable production.

Love – Initiation – The Dark Night of the Soul

This is from a dialog with a friend.
When we have gone through all our karmic challenges up through life, the push from karma stops, there is nothing more to do, there is nothing worth doing any more, we have tried it all. This is called the Dark Night of the Soul after a book by John of the Cross.

Dark-Night-of-the-Soul9
Contemplative Lifestyle in the Dark Night of the Soul

We are just alone with ourselves, as if God has left us, we are sinking down into our own subconsciousness, or maybe we just got so much peace that we have time to look around in our soul.

We are in a depression that can have different reasons, like work or family reasons, or both.

In all cases the darkness is caused by lack of love in the heart, we haven’t loved and we haven’t been loved for some time, one reason or the other.

The darkness is the karmic residues from our life that we haven’t solved yet, and through contemplation, change of lifestyle, that often are extremely unhealthy, like:
  • having made night as day,
  • filled with junk food,
  • too much electronic entertainment,
  • addicted to chemical substances as drugs like prozac, alcohol and narcotics.
Sometimes it’s necessary to handle parasites like Candida albicans, ringworm and other skin problems, intestinal worms or polyps various places, that also infests the etherbody.
All of these things, and more, will life/fate helps us to recognize if we have it as problems and we don’t fight fate, what we often do, we don’t want to let go of all our lesser desires.
Dark-Night-of-the-Soul14
On the way out into the light

Through solving our karma, light begins coming down into our darkness, and with the light returns love to our hearts, but it may take time.

Criticism is the worst danger for love, it both kills the love in sender and receiver, so life/fate may separate pairs in a period to make room for restoring the love in their heart.

Chakras and karmic periods

We have 7 periods of about 7 years, it’s the planet Saturn’s main aspects to the birth horoscope that create these periods, and each period have to do with a chakra from the root chakra and up.

The Spiritual Layers of Man

Karmic Periods and Man’s spiritual bodies

It means that in each seven year period we handle the karma connected with each chakra.

Each period also relates to the incarnations where we started working on the chakra, we meet the people we have created the karma with, so we can solve it together.

When we are in the dark night, karma have mostly stopped working on us, so the inner planets, Saturn and in, are only weak in influence, the three outer planets are the hierophants forming our initiation, especially Pluto, their transits to the birth horoscope are extremely strong, and often the same transit happens three times, forward, backward (retrograde) and forward again.

First transit starts the project, the retrograde tells when the problem is understood and the last transit that it’s hopefully solved. These transits are very precise on the day, if our birth date is precise, on these days something relevant happens, usually within but often outside too.

End of karma

When we have no karma anymore we are for the first time in danger, karma keeps us safe, now we have become free agents, but, of course, we don’t know how to behave as a free agent. So contemplate, don’t run around as a drop on a frying pan.

All people have a guardian angel up through life, it’s a discarnated person from our karmic group.

In the dark night we may have around four helpers following us, it can be necessary to influence the physical world to save our lives if we act stupidly enough, or we need guidance in various ways. I have once been told that they saved my life because I behaved erratically, what I did.

Around the fifties Pluto transits itself, this is a very strong transit, and we can feel it nearly physically. But Uranus and Neptune returns are also strong.

As I wrote above, karma is a playpen, within its fence we are protected, everything that happens have been planned, so we are not in danger, except if something magical intervene, but that is very seldom.

We are used to be in the playpen, it’s very secure, but when karma disappear, when we are let out of the playpen, when we can’t feel the fence any longer, it’s unnerving as if God have left us.

Initiation

Vesica Pisces 2 EN

The three main players in our consciousness

Sentient, intellectual and consciousness soul have been merged together all our lives, acting as one, with most thinking in the sentient soul, but with I consciousness in the intellectual soul.

In the dark night these three are loosened from each other, they become awake all three, and especially the sentient soul feels alone, feels as if God have left it.

The last unhandled karma blocks the life coming from the intellectual soul, from the I, so the life energy and love from the soul can’t be felt. It feels as if God have left it in utter darkness, that it is on its own.

There are no goals anymore, the intellectual soul had the grand view, had the goals, the sentient soul can’t handle decisions ranging more than 24 hours, long range decisions go invariably wrong. That’s also why we may have difficulties following our own decisions from day to day.

We, the sentient soul, shall concentrate on the now, contemplate, handle the last karma, opening up to the intellectual soul, to the I.

When karma begins to disappear light begins shining down into the sentient soul, there may also come a ray of love from the soul, where we may shed a tear of love, our heart feels vulnerable.

Synchronicity – Guidance

When our sentient soul are separated it’s very vulnerable, it don’t have the help from the intellectual soul, it need constantly help from the spiritual world to not go wild.

The soul can help by taking energy away from bad ideas and the guardian angels can manipulate fate so that phone seller’s ring in the second you are about doing something stupid or letting a light bulb explode in such a situation or other things.

If you open a book at a random place or open the TV you may find an answer to a problem, or you may use one of the many seemingly stupid aps on FB, like what is your word or how is your coming year to be, these oracles are also in synchronicity with you, you should not take them ‘on intention’ but see if the words means something about your situation, are you on right course, should you change something. Of course some will be meaningless but most will have meaning.

The Bodies of Man

When we sleep our astral body separates from the etheric body, only connected with the silver cord. When we wake again the two bodies connects again and in that short time before they are joined fully, the dreams are transferred from the astral body to volatile memory in the etherbody.

When the two bodies are rightly joined we have no spiritual access to the astral world, but for some people the two bodies don’t join fully, there is a rift between them which can be used by natural clairvoyants or there can be created a rift through drugs or other means.

This picture show this configuration of man, and the abyss show where the bodies separate.

Bodies of Man

The Bodily configuration of Man

The Bodies of the Initiate

When we go through the dark night, the spiritual death and resurrection, astral and etheric body grows together for never again to be separated, neither by sleep nor by death, and that means that the rift is closed.

Instead the chakras will give us full sight in the astral world, just as we have in the physical.

The new constitution of man will now look:

Bodies of Man Initiated

The Bodily configuration of the Initiate

Btw when we are in the dark night we also lose interest in reading and writing factual books, because it draws the focus down into the astral body where contemplation have the focus in the soul.

This is the spiritual death and resurrection, we accept the death of our ego and put everything in the hands of God, and then we become resurrected in the soul.

I AM and I AM <that>

Must we inhabit this lifeless limbo forever, you ask. If you set down and contemplate accepting to sit there forever, it will stop. If you don’t accept it and run around doing many things you have done in your old life, caused by restlessness, it will take forever, or until you reach a time limit, and forfeit the possibility.

Vesica Pisces newage EN

New Age version

Nisargadatta says it thus: When you say I AM, then you are talking about your soul, the central point in your being. When you say I AM <something>, where something is beautiful, clever, hardworking, have inferiority complex, angry, horny, and so forth, you are talking about the physical around and in the ego.

The soul is the bridge between the spiritual and the physical:

Bifröst – the bridge between the physical and the spirit

Bodies EN

The seven layered model of Man

The ego is the upgraded animal mind, the ‘I’ is the new principle of mankind’s evolution, just as the animal mind was the new principle following the plant kingdom. The I or soul is pure Wisdom, Love and Beauty. The earth is called the planet of love because this is the new principle We see ourselves from the physical world so we can’t recognize the beauty of the soul, it’s hidden behind the karma that fills our physical bodies, but when we handle the karma it becomes visible to those who can see.

I have been invited into such a soul, she were an old soul like myself and she was beauty, truth and love, we mirrored each other and I now know that it goes for all old souls, with many incarnations behind them, as it’s the result of handling their karma.

Each of these circles are both representing different bodies, but it’s also our chakra that represents these bodies.

The heart chakra is representing the soul, all of mankind we find through the heart, there we are one, the physical is the periphery of mankind, the outer layer. Living in the now means to access the shared wisdom of mankind through our soul.

Ego and I – Thinking in the Now

The ego thinks in words, the I thinks wordlessly. The ego speculate in words. The I think in large thought structures that shows when needed in the Now, they are not visible, it’s more like sound in contrast to the seeing in the astral world, it’s somewhat like sonar pictures. We see with thoughts, the thoughts come as from outside. It’s complicated to describe, but it’s easy when we first have observed it in our own thinking.

When thinking contemplatively, the ego is not taking part, a structure is shown with all we have understood earlier, but with new things added in the structure. Each time I think on a subject, new things are added to what I already know, without the need for speculation.

When I answer questions I write the answer fully, I seldom use something I have written before and I seldom answer with a quote, because each time I answer a question I become wiser, I see new details I hadn’t seen before.

Sleep

The best time to sleep is from 10pm to 2am!

The best connection to the I and higher I are from 2am to 6am in wake condition, here are much work done on the etherbody, a vital part of the initiation and the ascent from the Dark Night.

That should also be enough sleep for people in the dark night. Sleeping from 6am to 22pm are counterproductive, it tires the etherbody, it so to speak disintegrates what have been build at night, we become tired of sleeping after 6am.

img_2258

Stress and depressions make day to night, I have of course been there too, have always been sleeping late and been up late, but the need for sleep becomes less when following the above rules.

Speculation and tedious work makes tired, while contemplation, living thinking, don’t. Writing books and reading, especially reading non fiction books are tiring, as it draws the mind down into the physical body.

Dream Interpretation

Dream interpretation is a very important tool to take much pain out of the Dark Night, it’s one of the major ways to get information from the spiritual world after we isolate ourselves from the spiritual.

On Spiritual Research – Practical Guidelines

To understand and validate the esoteric knowledge there are other ways than clairvoyant faculties, and in the following I will list the things that I and others have found useful, with links to related texts.

Framework and Theories

  • LibraThe primary thing is to build a consistent framework around ones knowledge, extending it when new knowledge comes to. Don’t make the structure bigger than you can hold it consistent, that is, if too many loose ends are floating around it’s too difficult to handle. I started with the Akasha Chronicles by Steiner, which is the Rosicrucian Cosmic History. More in Esoteric History of Man and Creation of the Sun System and the Zodiac
  • If I didn’t have a theory, even if it was wrong, I couldn’t extend my knowledge. In research you will constantly be wrong on some points, but you will extend the area you are right all the time.
  • Find a good consistent vocabulary to build the framework around. I use Steiner’s as no other esoteric language is as consistent and connected to our time. In the The Rosicrucian Cross I have relations between Kabbalah, esoteric and traditional names of the hierarchies/spiritual powers and in The Bodies of Man I have relations between the names of the layers of man in many spiritual traditions.
  • Find a good structure to hang your knowledge on. I use the Kabbalah Tree of Life as no other structure is so clear, and every other major religion or spiritual tradition relates to the tree! More on the tree and it’s relations to other traditions here: The Rosicrucian CrossTao – The Equilibrium of Yin and Yang and Changing Hierarchies through Time.
  • Follow your own inspiration, don’t let anyone put your thinking behind bars, let your results logic speak for you. There are people who have no scientific understanding who try to limit the thinking of others for pseudo religious reasons, meaning they can’t give a logical explanation for their view.
  • Remember Sherlock Holmes: When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

Here a number of quotes on thinking that may be usable: Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it – on Thinking

Sources

  • HermitNever rely on one source. Whatever you find it should be consistent with other sources and/or it’s inherent logic should be impeccable. Findings without supporting evidence or inconsistencies should be saved until further evidence for or against is found. As a teenager I was somewhat fascinated with UFOs but then decided to have no meaning about them as it lacked both hard evidence, logical support, and relevance for my life.
  • When you read a text and feels confused it may not be your problem, not all authors know what they write about. A person who don’t know his topic have a tendency to write large texts where the one who understand it fully only need few lines.
  • Everything are usable as sources: science, religion, esoteric literature, fairy talesfilms, your every day life, observance of your own thinking, dreams, and so forth.
  • Use Retrospect Inquiry before sleep to find and think through the important events of the day, our mind is the best crucible we have to learn how the mind functions. One way is to think it through backwards, but after a time they pop up by themselves. In  The Bodies of Man I have a comparison between the three soul components of man in various religious, esoteric and psychoanalytic systems. In steiners vocabulary they are Sentient soul, Intellectual soul, and Conscious soul and in physical they are known as Limbic brain, left brain hemisphere and right brain hemisphere, where the last is the least developed.
  • Use your dreams to explore both your own consciousness but also other aspects of the physical and spiritual world. I have more on this in Dream Interpretation in Esoteric Work and Esoteric Aspects of the Isis figure
  • If you find a seemingly inconsistency or lack of explanations, note it for future study, a puzzle piece that may be of future use.
  • Another possibility to collect spiritual knowledge without spiritual faculties are Astrology, which both have helped me get a clearer knowledge about myself, but also given me the astrologers clear and precise language, which no other psychological or spiritual tradition have. This opens for understanding of different kinds of esoteric literature which is indecipherable for non astrologers. An example in The Sons of Jacob and the Zodiac
  • All this relates back to spiritual knowledge, the Framework, otherwise it would be atomic knowledge without a unifying framework.

Areas of Research

Love of Truth

ManifestorThe search for truth is foremost in esoteric science, not that there is a TRUTH, but everybody should strive to find truth. Truth is not relative, nor is it political, and neither can it build on feelings alone. Truth is like a diamond, each human soul have it’s own facet of this diamond describing it’s view on the reality.

Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth. Mohandas Gandhi

To find truth we need logic to find the way through the cacophony of information. Logic is valid on all planes, not only in the physical world, so it’s a vital tool wherever our search brings us:

“Consequently he who wishes to attain to human perfection, must therefore first study Logic, next the various branches of Mathematics in their proper order, then Physics, and lastly Metaphysics. He, however, who begins with Metaphysics, will not… only become confused in matters of religion, but will fall into complete infidelity.” ( — Maimonides)  Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it

Life itself will force people to learn logic, each time we make an error and recognize it, we are forced to think and understand the Why behind, and with time and enough incarnations we begin to see the logic behind existence.

Contemplative Inquiry

One way to think is Contemplative Inquiry, where the person sits with vertical back and open eyes and fully conscious, but letting the thoughts free on esoteric ideas, and in this way invite the higher I down into the thinking process. Thoughts on the physical world or closed eyes moves the focus to the physical noise, the background noise of the sentient soul.

Knowledge resides in the brain that is filled with thoughts of others, but wisdom resides in the souls of those who attentively listens to their own thoughts. Eli Wamberg

The search for knowledge will in itself change your life. The Eightfold Path

The goal is to reach the shared wisdom of humanity, what all esoteric teachers tell about, and here some quotes by Steiner Soul, Love and Heart Thinking
